It was a lucky coincidence to have a new TEMPUS project to be started in December 2013 Tempus Project 544161-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-UK-TEMPUS-JPCR Aston University “Developing the Teaching of European Languages: Modernising Language Teaching through the development of blended Masters Programmes”. A new programme has been developed and being adopted which enables us to provide our students with modern teaching techniques, ideas and tools.

The Objective of the Project is to contribute to modernization and internationalization of the societies in the partner countries through curriculum reform to enhance capacities of high educational institutions and secondary schools for teaching European languages. In this way the project will address the national priorities for the programme Tempus for all the partner countries involved including Sam SIFL, will strengthen the interaction between higher and secondary education sectors and will facilitate the overall reform of the national system of education.

The development of a new model for teacher education build on the study of current policy and practice in language teacher education in partner countries and in Uzbekistan.
